   A well-wrought, well-made, of chariots, εὐεργέος ἔκπεσε δίφρου Il.5.585; of ships, μία δ' ἤγαγε νηῦς εὐ. 24.396, and freq. in Od., cf. IG12.74.27; πηδάλιον Hes.Op.629; of garments, ἀμφ' ὤμοισιν ἔχουσ' εὐεργέα λώπην Od.13.224; of gold, wrought, χρυσοῦ . . εὐεργέος ἑπτὰ τάλαντα 24.274.    2 well-done: hence in pl., εὐεργέα, = the Prose εὐεργεσίαι, benefits, services, οὐκ ἔστι χάρις μετόπισθ' εὐεργέων 22.319, cf. 4.695; also ἀθάνατοι χαίρουσι βροτῶν εὐεργέσι τιμαῖς Milet.1(7).205b (ii A.
