   A bringing men glory or renown, Homeric epith. of μάχη, Il.4.225, al.; once of the ἀγορή, 1.490; of Φύσις, Orph.H.10.5.    II Pass., glorified by men, famous for men, Σπάρτα APl.1.1 (Damag.).
