   A that which is conceived, embryo, foetus, Hp. Epid.7.6, al., Pl.R.461c, Arist.GA719b33, etc.    II in Botany, that which is swollen as the result of growth, e.g. base of flower-head, Thphr.HP6.4.3: of a cabbage-sprout, Dsc.2.120, Gal.6.642.
