   A wine-coloured, Hom. (never in nom.) epith. of the sea, wine-dark, Il.23.316, Od.5.132, 2.421 ; of oxen, wine-red, deep-red, βόε οἴνοπε Il.13.703, Od.13.32 ; also οἰ. Βάκχος AP6.44; νύμφη οἴνοπα πῆχυν ἀνεῖλκε Tryph.521.
