Greco-Persian Names

Prius connected with YAv. ar, to fix, establish, PPfP. ərəta; the root is in APers. arta (comp.), Av. arəta ; arta here may have only the participial force, or it may mean divine government, "göttliche Weltordnung", Arta; posterius probably APers. kāma, desire, Av. kāma, Skt. kāma; cf. Ἀβροκόμας.
