Ὄασις: -εως, ἡ, τόπος εὔφορος καὶ κατῳκημένος ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ τῆς Λιβύης, ἀποτελῶν οὕτως εἰπεῖν χλοερὰν νῆσον ἐν μέσῳ τῆς ξηρᾶς καὶ ἀμμώδους ἐρήμου, Ἡρόδ. 3. 26, ἔνθα ἴδε Bähr.
