In an orderly way: Ar. and P. κοσμίως, P. τεταγμένως. In order: P. and V. ἐξῆς, ἐφεξῆς. Day by day: P. and V. καθʼ ἡμέραν, V. κατʼ ἦμαρ. Continually: P. and V. ἀεί, Ar. and P. συνεχῶς. Symmetrically: P. συμμέτρως. He cut down the pay so that three obols should be given instead of the Attic drachma and that not regularly: P. τὴν μισθοφόραν συνέτεμεν ἀντὶ δραχμῆς Ἀττικῆς ὥστε τριώβολον καὶ τοῦτο μὴ συνεχῶς δίδοσθαι (Thuc. 8, 45).
