1) смело, бесстрашно, уверенно (ἀγορεύειν Hom.; θαροαλεώτερον ἀγωνίζεσθαι Arst.): θαρσαλεώτερον ἔσται Hom. (у меня) будет больше уверенности; θ. ἔχειν πρὸς θάνατον Plat. не бояться смерти;
2) дерзко, нагло (λέγειν ψεύδη Isae.).
