I Mistrustful, ready to suspect, suspicious: omnes quibus res sunt minus secundae, magis sunt nescio quomodo Suspitiosi, Ter. Ad. 4, 3, 15: an te conscientia timidum suspitiosumque faciebat? Cic. Verr. 2, 5, 29, § 74: suspitiosus esse in aliquem, id. Q. Fr. 1, 1, 4, § 14; id. Lael. 18, 65: suspitiosa ac maledica civitas, id. Fl. 28, 68: vita anxia, suspiciosa, trepida, Sen. Vit.
