   A break at the side, esp. break a line of battle, Th.4.96 ; π. τοῦ πύργου μέρος make a breach in it, Polyaen.2.27.2 :—Pass., to be broken, Th.5.73, 6.70, Arr.An.2.22.7, 4.26.5.    2 metaph., break through, violate, τὸν νόμον Them. Or.15.190b, cf.
