   A showing forth, making known, τοῦτο ἐς ἐ. ἀνθρώπων ἀπίκετο became notorious, Hdt.2.46.    2. exhibition, display, demonstration, τῆς δυνάμεως Th.6.31; ἐ. ποιεῖσθαι, of a military demonstration, Id.3.16; ἓν τοῦτ' ἦν τῆς ἐ. showing off, Pl. Grg.447c: generally, ἐ. ποιήσασθαι ᾗ . . exhibit how... Id.Phd.99d; ἐλθεῖν εἰς ἐπίδειξίν τινι come to display oneself to one, Ar.Nu.269; ἡ ἐ.
