A a misfortune one brings on oneself, said to be derived from one Τέρμερος a highwayman, Philipp. ap.Sch.E.Rh.509, Plu.Thes.11, Jul.Or.7.210d; prob. to be restored for μερμέριον κ. in Luc.Lex.11: τερμερίης prob.portentous in Epic.Alex. Adesp.2.15. 2 τὸ τ., = membrum virile, dub. in AP11.30 (Phld.).
