   A involuntary, constrained, of persons, ἀέκοντος ἐμεῖο Il.1.310; ἑκὼν ἀέκοντί γε θυμῷ 4.43; πόλλ' ἀέκων 11.557; opp. βουλόμενος, Hp.VC11; τὼ δ' οὐκ ἀέκοντε πετέσθην (v.l. ἄκοντε) Il.5.366, Od.3.484; κάρτα ἀ.
