λήιτον: τό, (λαός, λεὼς) δημόσιον ἀρχεῖον, ὡς ἐκάλουν αὐτὸ οἱ Ἀχαιοί, Ἡρόδ. 7. 197, ἔνθα ἴδε τὸν Bähr· ταὐτὸν τῷ παρ’ Ἀθηναίοις πρυτανείῳ, πρβλ. Πλουτ. Ρωμ. 26, ὁ αὐτ. 2. 280Α. - Οὕτως ὁ Ἡσύχ. ἑρμηνεύει λάιον διὰ τοῦ ἀρχεῖον, καὶ λάιτα διὰ τοῦ δημόσιοι τόποι· λαιετόν, λαῖστρον παρὰ Σουΐδ. καὶ Ζωναρ. - Ὁ Ἡσύχ. ὡσαύτως ἔχει ληίτη, λῄτη, = ἱέρεια· πρβλ. λέιτος.
