A -κέχωσμαι Hdt.8.144:—heap with earth, cover with a mound, bank up, [τὴν σορόν] Id.1.68; σ. τὰς κρήνας, τὰ ὕδατα, fill them up with earth, Id.4.120, 140, cf. X.HG3.1.18, etc.; also of persons, σ. τοὺς ἀποσφαγέντας εἰς τάφρους bury them, D.S.19.107, cf. Plu.Alex.77.
