Varro. – II) übtr. = κρούπεζα, κρουπέζιον, eine Art hoher Holzsohlen, mit denen die den mimischen Tanz auf der Bühne begleitenden Flötenspieler den Takt traten, die Taktsohle, Suet. Cal. 54, 2. Arnob. 2, 42. Augustin. de mus. 3 in.: auch gebraucht, um das Zeichen zum Herablassen od. Hinaufziehen des Vorhanges (s. aulaeum) am Anfange u. Ende des Stückes zu geben, Cic. Cael. 65.
