Eus.PE14.5, 26; ἡ σ. καὶ τὰ ἐνύπνια, compared as being both illusory, Arist. Metaph.1024b23; ἡ δημηγορικὴ λέξις ἔοικε τῇ σ., i.e. in being calculated for effect, Id.Rh.1414a8, cf. D.C.52.7.
