[Seite 115] ίδος, ἡ, eine Baum- oder Strauchart mit eßbaren Früchten, vielleicht Mispel, Hippocr.; Ath. XIV, 650 c οὐκ εἰσὶν ἄπιοι, ὥς τινες οἴονται, ἀλλ' ἕτερόν τι καὶ ἥδιον καὶ ἀπύρηνον, vgl. ἐπιμηλίς. Der Name wurde abgeleitet von ἅμα μήλῳ ἀνθοῦν.
