   A rotate, spin round, οἱ δέ τ' ἔνερθεν ὑποσσείουσιν ἱμάντι, of a stake, compared to an auger, Od.9.385; τὰ ὑποσείοντα κεφαλάς (vv. ll. -ήν, -ῆς), perh. a form of paralysis agitans, Hp.Coac.159.    2 sift out, v. ὑποσήθω.    II hold out or throw to, ἄρτους Ael.NA7.13.
