(Κλαυδη) (L Tr WH Καῦδα (see WH s Appendix, p. 160), T Κλαῦδα), Κλαυδης, ἡ, Clauda or Cauda the name of a small island lying near Crete on the south, called by Ptolemy, 3,17, 11 Κλαυδος, by Pomponius Mela (45 A.D.>) 2,7 and Pliny, h. n. 4,20 (12), 61 Gaudos (now Gaudo-nesi or Clauda-nesa)): Acts 27:16.
