Ep. and Ion. for ἄγαμαι, only pres. and impf.:    I in bad sense (cf. ἄγη 11),    1 c. acc. rei, to be indignant at, ἀγαιομένου κακὰ ἔργα Od.20.16: look on with jealousy or envy, οὐδ' ἀγαίομαι θεῶν ἔργα Archil.25.    2 c. dat. pers., to be wroth or indignant with, τῷ . . Ζεὺς αὐτὸς ἀγαίεται Hes.Op.333; ἀγαιόμενοί τε καὶ φθονέοντες αὐτῇ Hdt.8.69 (cf. Sch. Od.20.16).    II in good sense, admire, τι Opp H.4.138; abs. in part., A.R.1.899, 3.1016; οἴνῳ ἀγαιομένη κούρῳ Διός Orph.Fr.204; ἀγαίετο θυμός Hes.Fr.81.4.
