   A set on fire with or at once, burn up, Pl.Ti. 22c:—Pass., to be burnt up, calcined, ib.49c, PCair.Zen.129.17 (iii B.C.), etc.; also of the effect of intense cold, D.L.2.118.    2 overheat, inflame, [ὁ οἶνος] σ. τὰς φλέβας Hp.Aër.9; ταῦτα σ. τὴν κοιλίην Id.VM10, cf. Gal.15.559:—Pass., τὸ συγκεκαυμένον Prodic.4; κοιλίη συνεκαύθη Hp.Epid.1.26.δ:—intr. in Act., κοιλίαι συγκαίειν ἀγαθαί liable to inflame, Id.Aër.7.
