Etymology: Wahrscheinlich mit Scaliger in ἀῆται, ἀήτας zu ändern. Sturtevant (s. Lang. 19, 308) verteidigt die Lesung der Hs. und betrachtet ἄνται als eine Ableitung von *an- atmen, s. ἄνεμος.
