A snow upon, Thphr. HP 4.14.6 (Pass.), CP5.9.13 (Pass.); θεὸς ἐπινείφει δρόσον (i.e. manna) Ph.2.112: metaph., οἷς δ' ὁ θεὸς ἐπινείφει καὶ ἐπομβρεῖ τὰς ἀγαθῶν πηγάς Id.1.296, cf. 2.383:—Pass., ἐνθυμήματα are dropped, distilled into the mind, Id.1.441.
2. impers., ἐπινείφει fresh snow falls, or it keeps snowing, X.Cyn.8.1.
