(λοπός), die Rinde, Schale loslassen, von den Bäumen, welche sich im Frühjahre bei dem Wiedereintreten des Saftes schälen lassen, Theophr., bei dem es aber auch eine Krankheit der Bäume, bes. des Ölbaumes und des Feigenbaumes ist, durch ein Faulen der Wurzeln veranlaßt.
