   A without hands, i.e. helpless, ἀνὴρ ἀ. Il.5.597, cf. Simon.53; also οὐκ ἀ. λόγος Alc.49. Adv. -νως AB418.    II in Lyr. and Eleg., reckless, lawless, ἀ. φρένες Pi.O.2.57; of acts, ἔρδειν ἔργ' ἀ. Sol.28.12; ἀπάλαμνα μυθεῖσθαι Thgn.481; ἀνελέσθαι Id.281; ἀ. τι παθεῖν E.Cyc.598.
