A.; κατὰ λέξιν, wörtlich, S. Emp. adv. phys. 1, 92. Auch = eine Redensart, Ath. VII, 275 b. – Bei den Grammatikern bes. ein altes, seltneres, od. einem Schriftsteller eigenthümliches Wort, das der Erklärung durch ein bekanntes, γλώσσημα, bedarf; so λέξις κωμική, πλατωνικαί u. ä., auch collectivisch, von einer Sammlung solcher Wörter.
