   A of or for three years, τριέτεα χρόνον Hdt.1.199; τ. φορά IG42(1).121.9 (Epid., iv B. C.); πλέον ἢ τ. ἐγένευ φίλος Theoc.29.17, cf. BCH48.518 (Palestine); τ. προθεσμία Pl.Lg.954d (in 793d τρι' ἔτη is restored by Bekker): τρίετες as Adv., for three years, Od.2.106, 13.377.    2 three years old, ἵππος Arist.HA545b13; παιδίον Artem. 4.39: τρίετες, τό, the age of three years, ἀπὸ τριέτους μέχρι τῶν ἓξ ἐτῶν Pl.Lg.794a, cf.
