Ἀϊδωνεύς: έως, (ἐν Ἀνθ. Π. 7. 480, έος), ὁ, ἐκτεταμένος ποιητ. τύπος τοῦ Ἅιδης, Ὅμ., Αἰσχύλ. Πέρσ. 650. Μεταγενέστεροι Συγγραφεῖς, ὡς ὁ Μόσχ. π.χ., μετεχειρίσθησαν τὰς πλαγίας πτώσεις Ἀϊδονῆος, ῆϊ, ῆα, μετὰ τῆς πρώτης συλλαβῆς μακρᾶς χάριν τοῦ μέτρου. Ἡ κλητ. εἶναι τρισύλλαβος Αἰδωνεῦ, ἐν Σοφ. Ο.
