   A unharmed by the Κῆρες; generally, unharmed, Od. 12.98, 23.328, h.Merc.530, Nic.Th.190, Call.Ap.41, A.R.3.466; ψυχαὶ ἀκήριοι, = ἀθάνατοι, free from power of the Fates, Ps.-Phoc.99.    II having no κῆρ, i.e. with no fortune attached to them, ἡμέραι Hes.Op. 823.    III harmless, πάμπαν δ' ἄμωμος οὔτις οὐδ' ἀ. Semon.4, cf. Nic.Th.771.
ἀκήριος (B), ον, (κῆρ)

   A without heart, i.e.,    I lifeless, Hom. (not in Od.), ἀκήριον αἶψα τίθησι Il.11.392. cf. 21.466.    II heartless, spiritless, σέ που δέος ἴσχει ἀκήριον ib.5.812, cf. 13.224; ἥμενοι αὖθι ἕκαστοι ἀκήριοι 7.100; ἀκήριον ἠύτ' ὄνειρον A.R.2.197.
