Abilene, the name of a region lying between Lebanon and Hermon toward Phoenicia, 18 miles distant from Damascus and 37 (according to the Itin. Anton. 38) from Heliopolis: Λυσανίας (and B. D. <TOPIC:Abilene> under the word).
