C.):—in Att. form Μουσηγέτης, Pl.Lg. 653c, D.S.1.18, Jul.Or.4.132a, al.; voc. Μουσηγέτᾰ, IG12(5).893 (Tenos); also epithet of Heracles, in dat. Μουσαγήτῃ, ib.14.101* (perhaps spurious). [ᾱ prop., as in Pi.: but ᾰ in Orph.H.34.6 codd.]
