Is this well done, Stilbonides? You met my son coming from the bath after the gymnasium and you neither spoke to him, nor kissed him, nor took him with you, nor ever once felt his balls. Would anyone call you an old friend of mine?

English (LSJ)

third letter in Gr. alphabet; as Numeral γ =

A three, third, thrice: also, with pr. n., Βάσσος γ B., son and grandson of B., IGRom.4.1587 (ii A. D.), etc.: but γ' = 3,000    II written for ϝ, freq. in Hsch., as γανδάνειν· ἀρέσκειν, etc.

German (Pape)

νοέω, weggefallen. Mit δ vertauscht von Dorern in δνόφος, δᾶ, mit β von Attikern in βλήχων, ebenso wie mit λ in μόλις.

Dutch (Woordenboekgrieks.nl)

γ' elis., zie γε.
Γ, γ, τό (γάμμα), indecl., gamma (derde letter van het Griekse alfabet); als getal: γʹ = 3; ͵γ = 3.000.
