(leg. ἄξ-) οἶδμα Id.HF 410 (lyr.); εὔ. πέλαγος Pi.N.4.49; ὁ Εὔξεινος alone, Str.11.1.5; cf. ἄξενος: εὔξεινος is a euphemism, like Εὐμενίδες.
