ἡ, contr. from κωλέα, which occurs in Anaxipp.1.38, LXX 1 Ki.9.24: κωλία (v. κωλίαν) is a dialectal form: (κῶλον):—

   A thighbone with the flesh on it, ham, esp. of a swine, Ar.Pl.1128, Fr.224, X. Cyn.50.30, Pl.Com.17(pl.), Amips.7; ἐρίφου Xenoph.6.1; βοὸς κ. Luc.Lex.6; the portion of the priestess at a sacrifice, IG22.1361.5, SIG1015.10 (Halic.), etc.    II membrum virile, Ar.Nu.989, 1019.
