νηλεόποινος: -ον, ὁ ἄνευ ἐλέους, ἀσπλάγχνως τιμωρῶν, ἐπίθετον τῶν Κηρῶν, Ἡσ. Θ. 217: μνημονεύεται ἐκ τῶν τοῦ Στοβ. Ἐκλογ. 2. 9, ἠλεόποινοι, αἱ τιμωροῦσαι τὴν μωρίαν, καὶ ὁμοία διάφ. γραφ. ἀπαντᾷ ἐν Ὀρφ. Ἀργ. 1362: ὁ Ruhnk. προτιμᾷ τὴν γραφὴν νηλιτόποινος, ὁ τιμωρῶν τὸν ἔνοχον.
