D.19.336 ; ἀμαθία Pl.Ap.29b, etc. ; τινι to one, X.Smp.8.34 ; ἐπονείδιστόν ἐστι παρά τισι is matter of reproach, D.26.19 ; ὄνομα τοὐπονείδιστον βροτοῖς the name of reproach among men, E.Fr.922 : Comp., Arist.EN1119a25 : Sup., X.Smp. 8.19. Adv. -τως shamefully, Pl.Lg.633e, Isoc.4.60 ; also in act. sense, so as to shame, ψέγειν Plb.1.14.5.
