   A from afar, ἰύζουσιν ἀ. οὐδ' ἐθέλουσιν ἀντίον ἐλθέμεναι Il.17.66; ἀ. εἰς ἓν ἰόντες A.R.1.39, cf. 1244, etc.; but in Hom., = ἀπόπροθι, afar off, far away, αὖθι μένειν παρὰ νηυσὶν ἀ.
