   A coming near; Ep. word, mostly used in neut. as Adv., near, close at hand, ἀγχίμολον δέ οἱ ἦλθε Il.4.529, cf. Od.8.300, etc., Hes.Sc.325; ἐξ ἀγχιμόλοιο ἰδών Il.24.352; ἀγχίμολον δὲ μετ' αὐτόν close behind him, Od.17.336: c. gen., ἕθεν ἀγχίμολοι cj. in Theoc.25.203.
