   A ἔμπᾰ S.Aj. 563): Ep. ἔμπης also in late Ion. prose, Aret.SA2.8, SD2.11: Dor. also ἔμπᾱν, Pi.P.5.55, N.6.4, 11.44; and ἔμπᾰ (v. supr.), Id.N.4.36, Call.Epigr.14:—poet. Adv.    1 = ὁμοίως, alike, Ζεὺς δ' ἔ. πάντ' ἰθύνει Il.17.632; ἔ. ἐς γαῖάν τε καὶ οὐρανὸν ἵκετ' ἀϋτμή 14.174; ἔ. τὰ καὶ τὰ νέμων Pi.P.5.55.    2 in any case, νῦν δ' ἔ. γὰρ κῆρες ἐφεστᾶσιν θανάτοιο, ἴομεν Il.12.326; οὐκ ἐφάμην ῥιγωσέμεν ἔ.
