ὠτίς: -ίδος, ἡ, (οὖς) εἶδος πτηνοῦ ἔχοντος μέγεθος χηνὸς καὶ περὶ τοὺς κροτάφους πτερά, ἐν Θεσσαλίᾳ λέγεται νῦν «δρόμπλιον» καὶ Τουρκιστὶ «τόϊ», πιθαν. ἡ Otis tarda (Γαλλ. οutarde), ἐνῆσαν δὲ καὶ ὠτίδες Ξεν.
