[Seite 273] οπος, bei Hom. öfters, immer in der Vrbdg νώροπι χαλκῷ oder νώροπα χαλκόν; die Alten leiten das Wort theils von νη – ὁρᾶν ab, nicht anzusehen, vor Glanz blendend, λαμπρός (vgl. Plut. Symp. 6, 7, 21, theils erklären sie ὀξύφωνος, ἔνηχος, von ὄψ, weniger wahrscheinlich.
