   A haughty, arrogant, σῆμα, λόγοι, A.Th.387,410; φρονήματα E.Heracl.388: neut. pl. ὑπέρφρονα as Adv., S.Aj.1236. Regul. Adv. ὑπερφρόνως D.C.37.5,49 (this Adv. is censured by Poll.9.147).    2 in good sense, ἐκ τοῦ ὑπέρφρονος from a sense of superiority, Th.2.62, D.C.45.43.
