Homer zweimal: Aegisthos tödtet den Agamemnon δειπνίσσας, ὥς τίς τε κατέκτανε βοῦν ἐπὶ φάτνῃ Odyss. 4, 535. 11, 411, nicht = »nachdem er ihn bewirthet hatte«, sondern aorist. in der Bedeutung des Anfangens, = »nachdem er ihm ein Mahl (δεῖπνον) vorgesetzt hatte«; übrigens gab es eine var. lect. δειπνήσας, bei der δειπνέω = bewirthen. – Comic.; Xen.
