or repeated ἒ ἒ ἔ, an exclamation of pain or grief; woe! woe! A.Ag.1114, etc.; always doubled either once or twice and better written ἐέ (as in cod. Med. of A. and S.), or (where the metre requires an iambus) ἐή S.OC149; but ἠέ cod. Med. in A.Th.966.
