   A swoop or pounce upon, οἴμησεν δὲ ἀλεὶς ὥς τ' αἰετός Il.22.308, cf. 311 ; κίρκος . . οἴμησε μετὰ τρήρωνα πέλειαν swooped after a dove, ib.140.    2 abs., dart along, θύννοι δ' οἰμήσουσι Orac. ap. Hdt.1.62.
