Pelias, son of Poseidon and Tyro, king of Iolcus, drove his brother Neleus into exile, and forced Jason, the son of his other brother Aeson, into the Argonautic expedition, Od. 11.254. Pelias was the father of Alcestis, Il. 2.715.
