[Seite 1081] τό, der Form nach dim. von τεῖχος, Mauer, des Hofes, eines Hauses, Wand, nicht von der Stadtmauer, nach den VLL. ἐπὶ οἰκίας; μέγα τειχίον αὐλῆς, Od. 16, 165. 343, was 341 ἕρκεα heißt, u. so, für Umhägung, Thuc. 6, 66. 7, 81, Gemäuer des Hauses, Ar. Eccl. 497 Vesp. 1109, Arist. H. A. 5, 17; vgl. noch Plat. Rep. VII, 514, d, τειχίον ὥςπερ τοῖς θαυματοποιοῖς πρὸ τῶν ἀνθρώπων πρόκειται τὰ παραφράγματα. – Eigentliches dim. scheint es bei Pallad. 139 (IX, 328) zu sein. – Die Betonung τείχιον ist falsch.
