Ἱστ. 9. 19. 1, φέρεται ὀνοθήρας, ὡς παρὰ Διοσκ. 4. 118 καὶ Γαλην., ὅστις δίδει εἰς αὐτὸ καὶ τὰ ὀνόματα, ὀνάγρα, ὄνουρις (ἢ ὀνόθουρις)· ὁ Πλίνιος καλεῖ αὐτὸ onothera καὶ onotheris.
