   A ἀπήντων Th.4.127, Dor. 3sg. ἀπάντη BionFr.9.7: fut. ἀπαντήσω Arist.Rh.Al.1432b35, Plb.4.26.5, etc.; but better -ήσομαι Th.4.77, 7.2 and 80, X.HG1.6.3, Lys.2.32, etc.: aor. ἀπήντησα E.Ph.1392, Th.2.20: pf. ἀπήντηκα Ar.Lys.420, D.18.15:—the Med., used in act. sense by Polyaen.1.21.1 (impf.), al., is censured by Luc.Lex.25; so also pf. ἀπήντημαι Plb.2.37.6, D.H.6.88, etc.    I mostly of persons, move from a place to meet a person, and generally, meet, encounter, τινί Hdt.8.9, E.Supp.772, etc.; ἐξ ἐναντίας ἀ.
